Voices from the Field reveals hidden voices to the world
Our world has never seemed smaller. We are constantly connected with every corner of the globe. And yet, this connetion seems to have only increased confusion and misunderstanding. Voices From the Field, the new release from Peregrini Press, provides a unique opportunity to bridge the divide between Christians around the world.
The era of Christian missions ‘from the West to the rest’ is quickly passing. There are now more than twice as many Christians in the Global South than in the rest of the world, and yet, missions literature largely excludes voices from those traditionally on the receiving end of missions activity. Voices from the Field is the culmination of a 3 year endeavour by T.J. MacLeslie, author and missionary, to discover these hidden voices for us to listen and learn.
Gillian Newham, author of Far from Cold, says, ‘Voices from the Field cuts to the quick of my soul as the candid interviewees pinpoint attitudes that can affect cross-cultural missionaries.’
Chris Katsekpor, Regional Leader for sub-Saharan Africa for Pioneers, said, ‘How I wish I had this book before starting my missionary journey!!’
T.J. MacLeslie, the editor, and driving force behind this project has more than 20 years of missions experience. T.J. has served in a variety of roles in Christian ministry since 1990, including pastoring, church planting, leadership development, and spiritual direction. He has authored several books and is the executive editor for the Field Notes series from Peregrini Press. He currently lives in the UK with his wife and two children where he leads a team focused on prayer and spiritual formation.
